Reporting to the senior operational leadership team, this role will work closely with site-based engineering teams, clients, specialist contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure engineering standards, statutory compliance, and business objectives are consistently achieved.

The Technical Engineering Manager will play a key role in supporting both mechanical and electrical disciplines, providing expert guidance on engineering best practice, lifecycle planning, asset management, operational resilience, and building performance optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership across engineering operations, ensuring contractual obligations, service standards, and KPIs are achieved.

  • Oversee high and low voltage electrical activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures.

  • Promote safe systems of work, including permit-to-work processes, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and critical works management.
  • Monitor infrastructure resilience and support testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing activities.
  • Produce technical reports, recommendations, and risk assessments as required.
  • Review engineering systems and plant performance to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with British Standards, statutory regulations, and industry best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
