Job Role: Engineering Manager
Location: 8 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London
Duration: 17 Aug 2026 – 12 Feb 2027 (Extension Potential)
Hours: Mon–Fri | 8:00am–5:30pm
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations at a flagship corporate site in Canary Wharf.
You'll manage two engineering shift teams, oversee critical building infrastructure, drive service delivery, and act as the key link between client stakeholders and the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead and develop engineering teams.
- Manage performance, training, and succession planning.
- Promote safety, accountability, and service excellence.
Operations
- Oversee all mechanical, electrical, and critical building systems.
- Manage PPMs, reactive maintenance, audits, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with PTW, ATW, and client procedures.
- Support BAS/BMS and smart building operations.

Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main engineering contact for client stakeholders.
- Manage contractors and specialist vendors.
- Support engineering projects and site improvements.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive operational efficiency and service improvements.
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and engineering performance.
- Produce accurate reports and compliance documentation.
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
- 3+ years' experience within a critical environment
- Experience managing engineering or facilities teams
- Strong stakeholder and customer management skills
- Experience in large commercial, banking, critical facilities, or data centre environments
- Proven track record improving service delivery and operational performance

Preferred Qualifications
- HNC/HND in Engineering
- HV/LV Authorised Person (AP15)
- BAS/BMS experience
- Smart building technologies knowledge
- CMMS experience
- Strong understanding of critical infrastructure
