Our client is a progressive property group integrating asset management with residential, commercial and agricultural portfolios.
With a strong pipeline of high-quality housing developments, they are looking to strengthen their technical team with an Engineering Manager who brings demonstrable housebuilding experience, ideally from cradle to grave.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering requirements across residential developments from initial land appraisal through to final completion and handover.
- Coordinate external specialist consultants and oversee detailed design packages for roads, drainage, utilities and site infrastructure.
- Secure all statutory technical approvals and legal adoption agreements, including Section 38, Section 104 and Section 278.
- Provide robust engineering input into pre-acquisition planning applications, budgets, costings and development programmes.
- Support on-site construction teams with complex engineering and ground condition queries.
- Oversee site infrastructure adoption processes with local authorities, highways departments and water undertakers.

About You

- Proven engineering experience gained within residential development, volume housebuilding or a civil engineering consultancy environment.
- Strong working knowledge of highways, drainage, SuDS, cut-and-fill earthworks and statutory utility infrastructure.
- Demonstrable track record securing Section agreements (S38, S104, S278) and managing the adoption cycle.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to value-engineer infrastructure designs and control abnormal costs.
- Confident communicator skilled at driving external consultants and liaising with statutory bodies.
