Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: £70,000 + Bonus
Job Role of the Engineering Manager
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Engineering Manager to work for a blue chip multinational FMCG manufacturing company based near Rochester, Kent. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and leading a team of 8-10 multi-skilled engineers in a very fast-paced production factory. The role will be 80% management and 20% hands-on, and the ideal candidate needs to have very strong management and leadership skills. There would be career progression available into senior management roles for the right candidate.

- Previous experience leading an engineering department within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
Desirable Requirements for the Head of Engineering
- Previous experience within FMCG and process manufacturing
- Experience leading engineering projects and capital investment programmes.
- Knowledge of high-speed industrial manufacturing equipment
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems and engineering compliance.
