Engineering Manager
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong hands-on mobile engineering background to lead mobile engineering teams and deliver complex, high-quality mobile applications.
The ideal candidate
The ideal Engineering Manager will combine strong technical expertise in iOS/Swift and/or Android/Kotlin with proven people leadership, mobile architecture, delivery management and stakeholder management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performing mobile engineering teams, ideally 10–20+ engineers.
- Provide strong technical leadership across mobile engineering, architecture and solution design.
- Remain hands-on with mobile development and contribute to production code using Swift/iOS and/or Kotlin/Android.
- Lead the development, launch and ongoing operation of production mobile applications.
- Drive mobile application delivery across Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Own engineering roadmaps, delivery plans, dependencies, risks and execution.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Business and Senior Stakeholders.
- Make technical and architectural decisions for scalable and reliable mobile applications.
- Promote modern mobile engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD, observability, performance and production reliability.
- Mentor and develop engineers across different levels of seniority.
- Manage complex technology initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with iOS/Swift and/or Android/Kotlin.
- Extensive experience developing and launching production mobile applications.
- Proven experience releasing applications through Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store.
- Strong mobile architecture and technical leadership experience.
- Significant engineering people management experience.
- Experience managing engineering teams of 10–20+ engineers is highly desirable.
- Strong delivery leadership across complex technology initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong experience with engineering roadmaps, dependencies, risks and delivery execution.

Preferred Experience
- Significant professional software engineering experience.
- Deep mobile application development expertise.
- Strong commercial experience with Swift/iOS and/or Kotlin/Android.
- Experience taking mobile products from development through production launch and ongoing support.
- Experience leading and developing mobile engineering teams.
- Experience working within large-scale and complex technology organisations.
- Strong understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, observability, performance and production reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
