About the Role
Some engineers develop components—others define the experience customers remember every time they step inside an Aston Martin.
At Aston Martin, we're looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager - Seating to lead the development and delivery of one of the most important touchpoints within our vehicles. From comfort and craftsmanship to functionality and performance, seating plays a critical role in creating the luxury experience that defines our brand.

Responsibilities
- Guide your team through the entire product creation journey, from concept and design through validation, prototype builds and launch, ensuring quality, cost, and timing targets are achieved without compromise.
- Lead cross-functional reviews, drive innovation, benchmark best-in-class competitors, and provide technical leadership across multiple programmes.
- Make decisions, solve complex challenges, and present confidently to senior stakeholders, including executive leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
