Job Description

An excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering delivery across major projects on several long-term frameworks. The role sits within a well-established UK infrastructure contractor known for its strong engineering culture, commitment to professional development and consistent delivery of challenging projects. This position offers long-term programme security, genuine technical ownership and clear progression pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering and design delivery across the full project lifecycle
  • Champion high standards of health, safety and environmental performance across all engineering activities
  • Support the development and assurance of temporary works solutions
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, project teams and supply chain partners
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and ensure construction information is accurate, complete and aligned with programme requirements
  • Coordinate materials, plant and technical resources to support efficient delivery
  • Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements and key project documentation
  • Ensure quality standards are met through effective inspection, testing and site verification

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership
  • Strong Engineering Management capability with the ability to lead, guide and support diverse technical teams
  • Adaptable, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
