Engineering Manager - Temporary Works

Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design delivery of major HV Transmission substation new build and extension projects
- Manage design requirements at tender and Early Contractor Engagement stage, allocating resources across tender, FEED, and detailed design phases
- Integrate multiple engineering disciplines - HV Plant, Protection & Control, and Civils - across internal and external designers and OEMs
- Act as Principal Design Representative, ensuring design information is managed in line with CDM 2015
- Contribute to continual improvement of design management processes
- Review design pack submissions for technical compliance, quality, and completeness
- Support project planners on design and engineering programme elements
- Monitor and expedite engineering programme issues, including procurement of services and equipment
- Liaise with Temporary Works Coordinators and Designers on constructability and permanent works
- Review consultant contracts, fees, schedules of services, and payment applications

Requirements
- Solid design background with proven experience managing multi-disciplinary design packages on HV Power projects
- Experience on temporary works design for power projects
- Electrical engineering education, preferably to degree level
- High Voltage project design experience
- Experience acting as Principal Designer Representative under CDM 2015
- Experience delivering substation projects for UK Transmission Service Operators, beneficial
- Membership of a UK engineering institute
