Engineering Manager.
West Scotland.
£75,000 + Company Car + Fuel Card + Bonus.
Cognisant are looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to join a housebuilder with a strong reputation. As Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of the engineering strategy and technical delivery for a range of developments, ensuring projects are technically compliant and delivered on programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Engineers and Trainees
- Manage engineering activities from initial site appraisal through to site start
- Appoint and coordinate external consultants, ensuring quality and timely delivery of technical information
- Assess site constraints and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions
- Work closely with Construction, Commercial, Land and Sales teams to support business objectives
- Oversee the preparation, review and issue of engineering drawings and technical documentation

About You:
- Proven experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, groundworks or a related construction environment
- Previous leadership or management experience within a technical or engineering team
- Strong project management, organisational and communication skills
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance technical excellence and project delivery
