Engineering Operations Specialist (Liquid Cooling & Critical Infrastructure)
📍 Hemel Hempstead | 🗓️ 6 Months | 💷 Up to £250/day | Inside IR35
We're seeking an Engineering Operations Specialist with expertise in liquid cooling systems and experience supporting critical infrastructure within data centre or mission-critical environments. This role will focus on maintaining, optimising, and troubleshooting advanced cooling technologies, while ensuring operational resilience across critical facilities infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot liquid cooling systems supporting high-density compute environments
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities
- Monitor and optimise cooling infrastructure performance, including CDU units, direct-to-chip cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, and chilled water systems
- Conduct plant inspections, equipment checks, and system health assessments
- Monitor critical infrastructure through BMS/DCIM platforms
- Fault finding, root cause analysis, and incident resolution
- Support critical infrastructure including cooling systems, generators, UPS, switchgear, and power distribution systems
- Manage contractors and ensure work is delivered safely and effectively
- Follow permit-to-work processes and health & safety procedures
- Support operational change activities and continuous improvement initiatives
