Are you an experienced engineering professional with a passion for planning, reliability, and continuous improvement? We're looking for an Engineering Planner to play a key role in coordinating engineering activities across our Spalding site, ensuring the efficient delivery of planned maintenance, statutory inspections, and engineering compliance activities.
What You'll Do
As Engineering Planner, you will be at the heart of our Engineering function, responsible for developing and coordinating maintenance plans, managing engineering systems, and driving improvements that maximise equipment reliability and site performance.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing and developing the site CMMS system as the engineering superuser
- Planning and scheduling preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and statutory inspections
- Creating weekly, fortnightly, and weekend engineering work plans
- Coordinating engineering contractors, permits, RAMS, and compliance requirements
- Tracking engineering KPIs and analysing downtime trends to support continuous improvement
- Ensuring engineering records, contractor databases, and compliance documentation are maintained
- Supporting training compliance across engineering teams
- Providing administrative support to the Engineering department, including timekeeping and holiday management
- Supporting audit readiness, food safety, and engineering compliance standards

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Time-served engineer with experience in maintenance planning and PPM scheduling
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, BTEC Level 3, ONC, or equivalent Engineering qualification
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent IT and data management skills
- Knowledge of CMMS systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Continuous Improvement and reliability experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable
- HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Experience using Holistech and SAP
- Knowledge of SOX compliance
- BRC audit compliance knowledge
- HACCP understanding and Level 3 Food Safety qualification
- IOSH, ROSPA, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen training
- Food manufacturing industry experience
