The Apple Services Engineering Team

The Apple Services Engineering team is one of the most exciting examples of Apple’s long-held passion for combining art and technology. These are the people who power the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books. And they do it on a massive scale, meeting Apple’s high expectations with high performance to deliver a huge variety of entertainment in over 35 languages to more than 150 countries. Our Program Managers partner with engineers who build secure, end-to-end solutions. Thanks to Apple’s unique integration of hardware, software, and services, engineers and Program Managers partner to get behind a single unified vision. That vision always includes a deep commitment to strengthening Apple’s privacy policy, one of Apple’s core values. Although services are a bigger part of Apple’s business than ever before, these teams remain small, nimble, and cross-functional, offering greater exposure to the array of opportunities here.

Description

Apple Cloud Infrastructure team, as part of the Apple Services Engineering team, is seeking an extraordinary Engineering Program Manager (EPM) that can help our internal device cloud, supporting all of Apple’s hardware, software, and services. Your work will help Apple ship entirely new products and features, as well as providing critical infrastructure to ensure existing ones continue to meet a high standard. We're a fast-paced organization with ambitious goals, a large user base, and the autonomy to build the future of Apple devices. You will have exposure to the latest and greatest software features from their initial concepts on Apple’s iOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and macOS platforms and work on integrating our software with features in these operating systems. You will be responsible for driving and delivering programs collaborating with teams nearly across all engineering organisations at Apple in this role with broad cross-functional exposure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in software development project management in compute Infrastructure domains.
  • Proficiency and experience end to end project delivery; building roadmaps through to operational sustainability.
  • Proficiency and experience in delivering large scale infrastructure programs, deployments to AWS/Azure/GCP compute platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and technical acumen with expertise in execution, prioritization, risk assessment.
  • Ability to drive engineering discussions for prioritizing features, technical road maps.
  • Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with technical skills: Networking Protocols, Strong OS Fundamentals, Distributed Systems, Infra at scale, SDLC
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree or related professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Agile project experience with evidence and able to demonstrate knowledge.
  • SCRUM background and/or played the role of a Scrum Master is plus.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous end to end infrastructure, technical projects and stakeholder community comprising of various engineering teams and their partners
