This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engineering Project Coordinator (Reactor Systems Integration) based in United Kingdom.

Accountabilities

The Engineering Project Coordinator will support engineering project execution by managing schedules, coordinating resources, and facilitating communication between technical teams. This role ensures that engineering activities remain aligned with project objectives, timelines, and delivery expectations.

  • Coordinate daily and weekly activities across multiple engineering teams supporting plant-level functions, systems, components, and engineering analyses.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed engineering schedules to support technical work execution and project milestones.
  • Support project cost, schedule, and scope management by applying project management best practices and identifying deviations from established plans.
  • Manage engineering schedule updates, change requests, and approval processes in coordination with project controls teams.
  • Break down high-level engineering activities into detailed task structures, schedules, and execution plans for design teams.
  • Track engineering assignments, resource availability, and workload distribution to support effective resource forecasting.
  • Coordinate with resource managers and stakeholders to confirm staffing needs and resolve potential constraints.
  • Assess and communicate schedule and resource impacts resulting from technical changes or evolving project requirements.
  • Develop standardized design activity sequences to support future engineering phases, procurement activities, and integrated analyses.
  • Manage schedule logic, milestones, and dependencies across internal engineering teams and external design groups.
  • Collect status updates from engineering teams and provide reporting to project leadership on progress, risks, and resource challenges.
  • Support project risk management activities, including maintaining risk registers and facilitating regular risk review meetings.
  • Assist with fiscal year planning activities involving schedules, resources, and engineering budgets.
  • Integrate supplier schedules into the Integrated Master Control Schedule to ensure alignment across project activities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an engineering project professional with experience coordinating complex technical programs, managing schedules, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. They should demonstrate strong organizational abilities, technical awareness, and the confidence to facilitate execution across diverse engineering groups.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited university.
  • 4+ years of direct project management experience, preferably supporting engineering or technical programs.
  • Experience managing or coordinating engineering activities within the nuclear industry, including systems engineering and/or nuclear design processes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with highly multidisciplinary and matrixed teams.
  • Strong understanding of technical schedule management, including schedule development, reporting, logic sequencing, and resource forecasting.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA is a plus.
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of NRC 10CFR50 licensing processes is desirable but not required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and complexity management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical excellence.
  • Ability to independently coordinate cross-functional initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and resolving conflicts between technical objectives and project constraints.
  • Strong facilitation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to translate technical discussions into schedule, resource, and execution impacts.
