An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join a market-leading, international PLC-listed manufacturing organisation.

The position will lead the delivery of multi-million-pound CAPEX projects, including new manufacturing facilities, civil and construction works, M&E, utilities, machinery installation, and production line commissioning.

The Role of Engineering Project Manager

As Engineering Project Manager, you will lead complex capital projects from initial scope and specification through to construction, installation, commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities of Engineering Project Manager will include:

  • Leading multi-million-pound engineering and CAPEX projects
  • Managing civil, construction and M&E work streams
  • Managing installation and commissioning of new machinery and production lines
  • Coordinating contractors, suppliers and engineering partners
  • Managing up to 50 contractors on site
  • Managing project programmes, budgets, resources and risks
  • Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and site safety requirements
  • Developing technical specifications and managing equipment suppliers
  • Reporting project progress, expenditure and key milestones to senior stakeholders

About You as Engineering Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with:

  • Experience delivering multi-million-pound engineering, manufacturing or construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of civil, construction and M&E project delivery
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or process environments
  • Strong contractor and supplier management experience
  • Good working knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • Experience of machinery installation and commissioning
  • Knowledge of Machinery Safety Directives, machinery safety standards and associated compliance would be a major advantage
  • Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Process or Chemical Engineering would be advantageous
  • NEBOSH and/or PRINCE2 would also be advantageous
