About Us
Caudal Energy is developing breakthrough tidal energy technology inspired by whale biomechanics and optimised for medium-flow, shallow-water sites. Backed by leading investors and Innovate UK, our highly efficient fin-driven generator system is progressing from prototype development towards commercial deployment. We are a growing engineering team building a predictable, scalable renewable power source.
About the Role
As Engineering Project Manager, you will establish and manage the supply-chain and project-delivery processes required to support a growing engineering organisation.
You will work across engineering, operations, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure critical components are sourced, ordered and delivered in line with programme requirements. In parallel, you will define and implement disciplined project-management processes that improve planning, communication, risk management and execution across multiple technical workstreams.
This is an ideal role for an organised and commercially minded engineer or project professional who enjoys coordinating people, suppliers and technical activities to achieve programme objectives.
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Manage procurement activities for prototype, development and production components; working with engineering teams to manage lead times, obsolescence risks and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Raise purchase orders and manage supplier engagement from quotation through to delivery. Tracking orders and proactively expedite critical-path items to meet project schedules.
- Develop supplier performance metrics and maintain supplier relationship management processes.
- Support supplier selection, qualification and onboarding activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
