The Electrical Project Manager will be the Senior Electrical Person on site and will be responsible for our Electrical Regulatory requirements as the Electrical Duty Holder and will also manage the Site Electrical Capital agenda. They will lead the Andover Site Energy agenda and be a transformational role for our future energy use and spend. Having an input and impact on the Environmental and Sustainability agenda for TwO (Carbon neutrality) and represent ASC within the Twinings and TwO agenda. There will be potential for working internationally in the future.

They will manage the planning and implementation of Capital and Revenue Projects working within the Twining’s Engineering Department, ensuring Projects are delivered on time and on budget. The Projects will have priority focus on Electrical Supply & Optimization, Electrical Generation and Energy savings on related Equipment and Infrastructure. Challenging the status quo on energy usage, spend and future savings opportunities.

They will also be responsible for the adherence with relevant Health and Safety guidelines throughout the lifecycle Projects and through adherence to Regulatory requirements. This role supports the delivery of the Site Capex agenda and site targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being the Senior Responsible Person for ASC as the Electrical Duty Holder
  • Responsibility for Electrical distribution network, ensuring compliance with Legal requirements
  • Development and ownership of Electrical Safety Policy including electrical asset data and compliance
  • Developing strategies for supporting network maintenance and ensuring the provision of power resilience for critical assets, preventing disruption
  • Providing technical guidance and decision making on development and power needs, improving understanding of the associated risk across Andover site
  • Ownership and management of Contractor performance
  • Ensuring all requirements are identified and Action Plans with timescales are implemented
  • Identifying and leading site Electrical, Energy and Efficiency saving Projects
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date Project plans are available and managed effectively.
  • Drawing up accurate Project Budgets and ensure projects are delivered on cost.
  • Ensuring good communication channels are in place and effective.
  • Managing internal and external resource to ensure Project activities are completed on time and on cost
  • Liaising with Key Stakeholders during equipment installation - i.e Engineering, EHS, Production, Facilities
  • Supporting Equipment Commissioning and start-up.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Apprentice trained in Electrical Engineering
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Higher-level Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Solid understanding of Electrical Legislation
  • Experienced with Electrical Distribution
  • Experienced in delivering Compliance in difficult environments.
  • Engineering experience and currently fulfilling a similar role 10yrs + experience within the Industry
  • Strong understanding of budgets and financial frameworks
  • Project Management skills, with use of appropriate IT facilities/software.
  • Minimum Five years-experience in Food or FMCG environment.
