Engineering Project Manager

📍 London (Flexible Base Location) | Up to £60,000 + £4,500 Car Allowance

Are you an experienced Project Manager with an engineering or construction background looking to take ownership of impactful projects that help keep essential water and wastewater services running across London?

We're looking for a proactive and self-motivated Engineering Project Manager to join our Capital Maintenance Project Team. In this role, you'll manage multiple CAPEX projects from concept through to completion, delivering innovative Mechanical, Electrical and ICA solutions across operational sites.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of CAPEX projects typically valued between £100k and £1m
  • Leading projects through the full lifecycle, from initial scoping and tendering through to construction, commissioning and handover
  • Working closely with operational teams, stakeholders and contractors to develop cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and fully compliant with CDM regulations and industry standards
  • Overseeing contractor management, site setup, inductions and health & safety compliance
  • Managing project budgets, forecasts and reporting on project performance
  • Supporting commissioning, training and successful handover to operational teams

What we're looking for:

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Experience in Engineering or Construction Project Management
  • A background in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or related Engineering disciplines
  • Relevant qualifications such as a BTEC, HND, Degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Knowledge of water, wastewater or process environments (desirable)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
