Engineering / Manufacturing Project Manager

Location: Ulverston

Contract Duration: 6 months initially with potential extension up to 2 years

Daily Rate: £400 - £550

Start Date: January 2027 (earlier start possible)

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 37 hours a week with flex

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead exciting engineering projects from inception to successful completion! This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual eager to make a significant impact in a vibrant engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate project teams and expertly delegate tasks to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience managing projects within an engineering or manufacturing context.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and ERP systems like SAP is desirable.
  • A project management qualification or relevant degree is a plus.

This position offers the chance to work on projects for the next 1-2 years. The role will initially require on-site presence in Ulverston, transitioning to a hybrid model once settled.
