About us

Newly Weds® Foods is a leading, privately owned global food ingredients business and has been innovating since 1932. The European division is a market leader in the manufacture of coatings, seasonings and functional ingredient systems.

Today, Newly Weds® Foods is a world leader in food ingredient technology. A network of R&D, manufacturing and service facilities around the globe allows us to serve our customers’ needs in more than 68 countries. But despite our size and scope, we’ve continued to be an independent, family-owned business answerable only to the demands of our customers. That’s why we continue to invest in infrastructure, human resources and capacity to keep pace with our customers’ needs and expectations.

The Role

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of capital projects across the Ossett site and wider group. This includes full lifecycle ownership—from concept development and scope definition through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and manage multiple capital projects simultaneously (£100k–£5M+), varying in scale and complexity.
  • Deliver full project lifecycle: concept, feasibility, scope development, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, qualification, and close-out.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Engineering, Safety, and external third parties.

Engineering & Design

  • Develop detailed project scopes, layouts, and engineering solutions for manufacturing, packaging, and distribution systems (e.g., dry blending, pneumatic conveying).
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, project schedules, equipment specifications, drawings, and tender documentation and ensure adherence.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and support contractor/vendor selection.
  • Ensure designs meet requirements for efficiency, maintainability, and food safety (BRCGS Issue 9).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
