Our client, an industry leading global company, is looking for an Engineering Project Manager - Underground Cable.
The right candidate must have in-depth experience in underground high voltage cable power system projects.
The role will combine technical project management with marketing and sales responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and manage high voltage underground cable system projects from initiation to completion.
- Oversee design reviews, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to achieve successful delivery.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Marketing & Sales
- Support the development of business opportunities within the power cable industry.
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals to clients.
- Conduct market research and identify potential clients or projects.
- Collaborate with the management team on marketing strategies, promotional materials, and customer relationship management.
- Participate in exhibitions, tenders, and client meetings to promote company capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in underground power cable system engineering projects (132kv and above preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and power transmission systems.
- Experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the energy or engineering sector is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with project management tools is a plus.

Conditions
- Job type: full-time & permanent & hybrid (visiting engineering site & work from home).
- Office location: South West London.
- Salary: fully negotiable depending on experience.
- Annual leave: 28 days (including 8 Bank/Public Holidays).
