Project Engineering Manager

Location: West London

Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Do you enjoy leading engineering excellence on major construction projects? If you're an experienced Project Engineering Manager who thrives on technical leadership, engineering governance and delivering projects to the very highest standards, this could be your next opportunity.

My client is a specialist design and build contractor delivering complex projects across the data centre, defence and energy sectors. Their reputation has been built on technical excellence, innovation and delivering projects where quality and engineering assurance are fundamental to success.

They are now looking for a Project Engineering Manager to join a flagship hyperscale data centre development in West London, leading the engineering function across one of the UK's most technically demanding construction projects.

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role where you'll provide technical oversight across the project, ensuring engineering activities are delivered safely, compliantly and in accordance with approved designs, contractual requirements and industry best practice.

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Oversee engineering governance
  • Drive technical assurance
  • Work closely with design, construction and package delivery teams to ensure engineering risks are identified early and managed effectively
  • Play a key role in improving buildability

We're Looking for Someone Who Has

  • Significant experience leading engineering functions on major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • A strong background working for a main contractor.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering governance, technical assurance and quality management.
  • Experience leading buildability and constructability reviews.
  • A thorough understanding of design management, engineering compliance and technical risk.
  • Experience within data centres, mission critical, defence, energy, industrial or other technically complex construction environments would be highly desirable.
  • A degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, together with a CSCS Manager Card. Chartered Engineer status, NEC contract experience and Temporary Works experience would be advantageous.
