Engineering Project Manager

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will deliver capital projects that improve site performance, capacity, and reliability. You turn business needs into well-scoped projects. You will work with Engineering, Operations, Technical, and external partners to make sure installations are safe, compliant, and delivered on time and within budget. You are a key part of continuous improvement and future-proofing the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of capital projects from feasibility and business case development through to commissioning and handover.
  • Manage capital investment programmes and engineering improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, investment proposals, and business cases.
  • Ensure projects achieve targeted ROI and measurable business benefits.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and manage external contractors and suppliers.
  • Embed robust project governance, risk management, and reporting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and root cause methodologies.
  • Ensure all projects comply with health & safety, food safety, environmental, quality, and engineering standards.
  • Present project progress, investment proposals, and business cases to senior leadership teams.

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline. You will have experience delivering engineering or capital projects within manufacturing.
  • With a strong knowledge of machinery, processes, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • You will be highly organised and will be able to demonstrate being able to manage multiple projects whilst maintaining accurate records.
  • Experienced in engaging with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Able to solve problems quickly and make practical, informed decisions.
  • You will have strong communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.
