Project Manager
Are you an experienced Project Manager with an engineering background, looking for a hands-on role where you can take ownership of complex technical projects?
We’re working with an established engineering business looking for a Project Manager to join a multidisciplinary team.
This is a varied Project Manager role sitting at the heart of engineering, customers, suppliers and senior management, coordinating projects across electronics, mechanical, software and sustaining engineering.
The Role
As Project Manager, you’ll take projects from initial definition through to completion, managing:
- Project scope, budgets, schedules and resources.
- Risks, dependencies, changes and project priorities.
- Multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, electronics and software.
- Design, development, testing and verification activities.
- Customer and supplier relationships.
- Engineering changes, product upgrades and sustaining projects.
- Project reporting, governance and stakeholder communication.
- Commercial control, estimates and resource planning.

This Project Manager position is not a purely administrative PM role — you’ll need enough technical understanding to challenge assumptions, identify dependencies, facilitate decisions and keep projects moving.
About You
We’re looking for a technically credible Project Manager with:
- Proven experience managing engineering or product development projects.
- Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Strong planning, organisation and project management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness and experience managing project costs.
- A hands-on, proactive and collaborative approach.

An engineering degree or formal project management qualification would be advantageous, alongside experience in electronics, mechanical engineering, software, embedded systems or electromechanical products.
