Role description
At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Engineering Release Specialist (ERS) to be based at our customer’s site in Gaydon.
Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
The Role:
The Engineering Release Specialist (ERS) is responsible for the accurate, timely, and high-quality execution of engineering change releases into the Bill of Materials (BOM). The role forms the operational backbone of Release Operations, ensuring engineering data is correctly processed, validated, and released to support programme milestones and business objectives. Through rigorous attention to detail and collaboration with Engineering and cross-functional teams, the ERS helps maintain BOM integrity, minimise downstream issues, and ensure product definition data is fit for purpose.
Due to the nature of our customer engagements, this role is currently open as both an inside IR35 contract or full-time employed. Remuneration will be determined based on the individual’s relative skill set, experience and overall fit for the role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
