Engineering Sales Director - CEO
This is not a traditional Sales Director role.
Joining a specialist engineering business of just five people, you'll play a pivotal role in both growing and leading the company. The business has an established reputation within its market, proven products, loyal customers, and a profitable foundation.
What it needs now is someone with the drive and commercial instincts to help take it to the next stage of growth.
Initial Focus
Initially, the focus will be on sales and business development. You'll be responsible for:
- Identifying new opportunities
- Developing relationships with prospective customers
- Expanding the company's presence within existing and adjacent markets
This is very much a roll-your-sleeves-up position where you'll be expected to lead from the front, spending time with customers, opening doors, and winning new business.
Broader Involvement
However, this is far more than a sales role. Because of the size of the business, you'll become involved in almost every aspect of its operation. Working closely with the engineering team and company owners, you'll help shape strategy, influence decision making, and play a major role in determining the future direction of the business. This is the type of environment where good ideas can be implemented quickly and where your impact will be visible.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
