Engineering Scheduler & Stock Controller
Humdinger, Bromborough CH62 3RD
Do you enjoy bringing structure, organisation and efficiency to engineering operations? This is an opportunity to play a key role in keeping a fast-paced manufacturing site running at its best through maintenance planning, engineering scheduling and stock control.
As our Engineering Scheduler & Stock Controller, you'll work closely with Engineering, Operations, Technical and Planning teams to ensure maintenance activities are planned effectively, engineering stores are well managed, and critical parts are available when needed. Success in this role means improving equipment reliability, supporting compliance activities and helping engineering teams maximise uptime.
Position Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 08:30-16:30
Salary: £30,000-£32,000 per annum
Closing date: Friday 28th August 2026
Responsibilities
- Schedule planned maintenance, project and ad hoc engineering work.
- Maintain engineering plans and update schedules based on work progress.
- Coordinate compliance inspections and maintenance activities.
- Manage engineering stores and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Raise purchase orders and support engineering inventory control.
- Monitor maintenance spend and provide performance reporting.
- Develop technical documentation and engineering records.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and operational stakeholders to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance scheduling, planning, and stores control.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and other business systems.
- Experience using CMMS systems such as Shire or equivalent.
- Able to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across a manufacturing

Humdinger Bromborough (Wirral) is a major UK nut processing and packing site, employing around 200 people within a 67,000 sq. ft purpose built facility. The site has a long heritage in nut and peanut processing and became part of Humdinger in 2023. Today, Bromborough processes and packs over 23,000 tonnes per year, supplying high quality nut snacks, peanut products and ingredients across retail, food service and ingredient channels. With a strong focus on allergen control, dry roasting expertise and operational excellence, the site plays a critical role in delivering safe, compliant and high quality snacking products to customers.
