Engineering Services Manager

Location: Imperial College London

About The Role

Dalkia UK is looking for an experienced Engineering Services Manager to lead technical operations across our Imperial College London contract. This hands-on leadership role combines engineering expertise, technical diagnostics, and operational management, supporting supervisors and technicians across multiple sites.

As a key member of the contract management team, you'll oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage technical escalations, and drive improvements in safety, statutory compliance, and service delivery. The role is particularly suited to someone with experience in laboratory or healthcare environments.

You'll be supporting a university through the delivery of safe, compliant, and well-maintained learning and research environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supervisors and technicians across multiple sites, supporting staff development through coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and remedial works, ensuring efficient scheduling, timely completion, and statutory compliance.
  • Act as the main contact for technical escalations, carrying out root cause analysis, and producing clear technical reports.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients, delivery teams, and third-party stakeholders, maintaining clear and transparent communication.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, reviewing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
  • Identify remedial works, develop options and quotations that offer value to the client, and recognize opportunities for business growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
