Engineering Services Supervisor
Location: Killingworth, Tyne & Wear
TEXO Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Engineering Services Supervisor to join our client based in Killingworth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering professional with strong leadership experience to take responsibility for supervising engineering teams, leading site projects, and ensuring the safe and successful delivery of lifting operations.
Working closely with the Operations team, you'll remain actively involved in engineering activities while providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise engineering teams on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Carry out hands-on inspection, testing, installation, maintenance and fault-finding of lifting equipment.
- Manage allocated site projects from survey through to completion.
- Conduct site surveys and assess lifting requirements, resources and potential hazards.
- Prepare and review RAMS, lifting plans, inspection reports and technical documentation.
- Act as the senior engineering representative on customer sites.
- Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER and relevant industry standards.
- Mentor engineers and apprentices, providing technical guidance and support.
- Liaise with operations, customers and internal teams to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Identify additional work opportunities and provide technical recommendations where appropriate.

Requirements
- Extensive engineering experience within the lifting industry.
- Appointed Person qualification (essential).
- Strong knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and lifting industry regulations.
- Experience leading engineering or site teams.
- Competent in producing RAMS, lifting plans and technical documentation.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and inspection/job management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
- LEEA qualifications or demonstrable progression through relevant modules would be highly advantageous.
