About The Team

Our Business Services team is a collective of strategic, innovative and forward-thinking professionals who enable the success of our firm. Bringing together teams across People & Culture, Marketing & Communications, IT, Operations, Finance, and Quality & Risk Management, we ensure Forvis Mazars has the right technology, tools, processes and support services to deliver exceptional client experiences and support the future growth of our organisation.

Within IT, our Engineering function plays a critical role in delivering secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions that support colleagues and clients across the business. The team is responsible for product ownership, application development, enterprise integrations, Power Platform delivery and quality assurance, helping turn business priorities into practical technology outcomes.

About The Role

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead and develop our engineering capability across technical product ownership, application development, enterprise integration, Power Platform and testing services.

This is a leadership role that combines strategic direction with operational delivery. You'll be responsible for ensuring business demand and technology roadmaps are translated into high-quality, well-governed and supportable solutions, while driving continuous improvement across engineering practices, delivery governance and team performance.

Working closely with Architecture, Security, Data, Operations, Service, Change teams, Group IT and offshore delivery partners, you'll play a key role in shaping how technology solutions are designed, developed, tested and delivered across the firm.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Leading and developing Technical Product Owners and offshore engineering teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Establishing clear ownership models for products and platforms, ensuring effective backlog management, prioritisation and roadmap alignment.
  • Driving engineering delivery across application development, integrations, automation and Power Platform solutions.
  • Ensuring work is delivered through robust governance, planning, testing, release management and operational readiness processes.
  • Providing leadership for enterprise integrations, APIs, workflows and data exchange solutions.
  • Owning Power Platform governance and delivery standards, including environments, connectors, application lifecycle management and technical controls.
  • Promoting high engineering standards across development, testing, documentation, release management and support transition.
  • Strengthening Agile, DevOps and quality assurance practices to improve delivery performance and reliability.
  • Managing engineering risks, dependencies, blockers and escalations to support successful outcomes.
  • Representing engineering within IT leadership discussions, architecture governance forums and strategic technology initiatives.

Experience

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience leading technical product, development or engineering teams within a complex technology environment.
  • Experience managing offshore or distributed delivery teams.
  • Strong experience delivering application development, integration and platform solutions.
  • Experience implementing effective governance, engineering standards and delivery processes.
  • A track record of developing high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of technical product ownership, backlog management, prioritisation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience delivering enterprise application development, integrations, APIs, workflow automation and platform extensions.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, connectors and enterprise governance controls.
  • Understanding of testing strategies, quality assurance frameworks and release readiness processes.
  • Working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, source control and environment management.
  • Experience establishing documentation standards across requirements, technical specifications, integration designs, testing evidence and release documentation.
