Role Overview
As an Engineering Supervisor, you'll play a key role in leading a skilled engineering team, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient support to our manufacturing operations. Working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights), you'll coordinate engineering activities, drive asset reliability and help deliver operational excellence across our primary site while providing support to an additional site when required.
Key Duties
You will:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Engineers and an Asset Care Operative.
- Coordinate reactive, preventative and planned maintenance activities.
- Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support fault finding, root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate engineering downtime reporting and CMMS data management.
- Work closely with Production, Hygiene and site teams to minimise disruption.
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and engineering standards.
- Deputise for the Engineering Manager when required.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone with a proactive approach, strong technical capability and a commitment to delivering high standards.
You'll ideally have:
- A recognised NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to work across multiple disciplines
- An experienced engineering leader from FMCG, food manufacturing or a fast-paced production environment.
- Confident leading teams, managing performance and developing engineering capability.
- Experienced in coordinating maintenance activities within a manufacturing setting.
- Skilled in using CMMS systems and analysing downtime data to improve performance.
- Knowledgeable across both mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.
- A strong communicator with excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work a rotating 4 on / 4 off days and nights shift pattern.
