Location: Boston, Lincolnshire

Salary: Up to £55,000

Shift: 4 on 4 off – Days & Nights

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in the Boston area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer, Senior Engineer or Engineering Team Leader who is looking to take responsibility for a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the engineering department, coordinating engineering activities and ensuring machinery and equipment remain reliable and available for production.

Responsibilities of the Engineering Team Leader:

  • Lead and support a team of Maintenance Engineers during the shift.
  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support during breakdowns.
  • Prioritise engineering workloads based on production requirements.
  • Support fault finding and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure PPM schedules are completed effectively.
  • Promote high standards of Health & Safety across the engineering department.
  • Work closely with production and other departments to minimise downtime.
  • Support the development and performance of engineers within the team.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Senior Engineer, Shift Engineer or Engineering Team Leader.
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable remaining hands-on while also leading and coordinating a team.
