The Reliability & Compliance Coach is both a strategic and key day to day role within the Andover Engineering Team responsible for leading a team of Engineers in support of Manufacturing Operations with the objective of Implementing and driving Planned Maintenance compliance whilst also ensuring compliance against our Statutory and Legal obligations. Working closely by supervising and coaching the Shift Engineers and Apprentices the role is also responsible for setting and driving the Engineering Reliability agenda – this encompasses the use of Reliability tools and techniques with the aim of improving Manufacturing performance and the development of the Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop PM compliance for GMP manufacturing equipment
  • Responsible for Legal Compliance (LOLER, DSEAR, PSSR, FET)
  • Manage a team of Maintenance Shift Engineers and Apprentices (between 6-9)
  • Review major downtime losses and repeat concerns (MTBF) to identify Root Cause and manage completion of Corrective Actions
  • Contractor Control and Management for Planned, Compliance and Reactive support
  • Lead FMEA/Criticality studies aimed at improving critical spares availability and improved planned maintenance regimes
  • Risk Assessment reviews and completion
  • Train and lead a cross-functional team in order develop and deploy effective maintenance programmes and deliver a highly reliable plant
  • Recruit, engage and develop engineers in order to satisfy our requirements in improving our operational performance
  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures and measures (KPI’s) for the engineering and technical work performed in the department
  • Collaborates in the CAPEX process in order to ensure new machinery is maintained effectively from the outset
  • Develops and continually improves maintenance plans and methods to drive improvements in uptime and availability
