A career without limits

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The Role

Engineering Technical Instructor

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Engineering Technical Instructor to join our Engineering Training team. In this role, you’ll design, deliver, and maintain high-quality technical and practical training programmes for licensed and unlicensed engineers, mechanics, and apprentices. You’ll ensure all training meets EASA/UK-CAA Part-147 and Part-145 regulatory standards, supporting both initial qualification and ongoing competence development. From classroom instruction to hands-on assessments, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our engineering workforce, while collaborating with internal teams and contributing to continuous improvement across our training operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training in line with EASA/UK-CAA Part-147 and Part-145 requirements, including aircraft type and basic licence module courses.
  • Facilitate engaging and effective learning experiences, managing the classroom environment and supporting learners throughout the duration of each course.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments, maintain accurate training records, and support examination and competence development processes.
  • Assist in the design and continuous improvement of training materials, ensuring alignment with current aircraft fleet, maintenance practices, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal quality procedures, participating in audits and supporting standardisation across the training team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet operational training needs, and support delivery across multiple locations as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
