  • Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Undertake routine inspections and repairs using both mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
  • Support the installation of new equipment and ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Select and order alternative equipment and components to support rapid repair of production machinery and plant.
  • Assist with developing maintenance schedules to ensure the safe and effective operation of site equipment.
  • Work in accordance with AkzoNobel EHS policies and standardised ALPS work practices.
  • Follow safe systems of work, including Lock Out Tag Out Try Out (LOTOTO) and permit-to-work systems.
  • Ensure compliance with point-of-work risk assessments and change control systems.
  • Participate in HSEQ&S risk reduction programmes and proactively respond to near-miss reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and working practices.
  • Support small engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce plant downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Support the development and implementation of standardised work and maintenance procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
