Job Opportunity: Engineering Technician
This is a chance to be part of a major site expansion and transformation journey, with significant investment transforming our customer's site into one of the most advanced dairy facilities in the UK.
They are now expanding their engineering team and looking for Engineering Technicians to play a key role in supporting a highly automated, next-generation production environment.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of modern manufacturing—combining cutting-edge technology, large-scale automation and ongoing site transformation.
Location
Staffline is recruiting Engineering Technicians to work in Market Drayton, Shropshire.
Pay
The rate of pay is £57,289 per annum, plus overtime!
Working Hours
This is a full-time role working 4 on 4 off, Days & Nights. The hours of work are:
- 7am to 7pm
- 7pm to 7am
Responsibilities
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability
- Responding to breakdowns efficiently, minimising downtime in a fast-paced production environment
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering upgrades
- Collaborating with operations to drive safety, quality and performance
- Supporting the installation, commissioning and integration of new equipment

Equipment and Systems
- Highly automated process and filling lines with advanced PLC systems
- High-speed blow moulding and hygienic filling technology
- Multi-axis robotic packaging systems
- One of the UK's largest pallet cooling and transport systems
- Site-wide infrastructure including:
- Combined Heat & Power (CHP)
- Advanced compressed air systems
- Sustainability and recycling technologies
Requirements
- A time-served Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of reactive and preventative maintenance
- Experience working with automation, robotics or process equipment (desirable)
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- A team player committed to high safety and performance standards
