Work Flexibility

What you will do
- Plan and manage calibration activities.
- Assure all production equipment is up-to-date on calibration cycle and meets calibration requirements.
- Maintenance of calibration management system and associated hardcopy and soft-data in accordance with SYK Quality Management System requirements.
- Execution of preventative maintenance procedures and routines in assigned processes or area/s.
- Actively interface with cross-functional team members and 3rd party Vendors, always practicing good team work in support of day to day operating requirements.
- Monitoring and reporting of production yield performance on assigned lines.
- Engage in mechanical / electrical / electronic troubleshooting, and in resolving hardware /software interfacing problems on the production floor.
- Diagnose malfunctioning fixtures, equipment or systems to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Communicating regularly with the Product Builders regarding issues, concerns and watch-outs on the lines.
- Test electrical systems, circuits and wiring in processing equipment and fixtures.
- Planning, layout and installation of processing equipment on work-stations.
- Modify work stations as required i.e. add or remove shelves, move tables, etc.
- Identifying and assisting the business with the implementation of technical improvements.
- Identification of process equipment spares requirements, plus sourcing and replenishment of all such spares from stock in accordance with company policies.
- Work with Engineers/technicians in developing, trouble-shooting, standardising, and improving production methods and procedures.
- Support build and test of prototype, development, design verification and process validation units.
- Adherence to and enforcement of all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements on sites, plus communication of any concerns regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.
- Building of Quality into all aspects of one’s work by maintaining compliance with all site and corporate Quality Management System requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.

What you will need
- Certificate/ Diploma in Engineering/Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical or related discipline, or working towards this, would be desirable.
- 2 years experience in electronic assembly in a modern manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage.
- Ability to work autonomously, with minimum supervision.
- Team player, with a flexible approach.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid troubleshooting and repair fundamentals.
- Experience in understanding business process and computer systems.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to details and quality of workmanship.
- Requires good written and verbal communication skills, reading and math skills.
- Good manual dexterity, and eye/hand coordination.
- Experience using Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Work Flexibility
- Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.
- Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.
- Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.
- Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
