Role Description
We have two full-time, on-site Engineering Technician with mechanical skills based in Coventry. The Engineering Technician will support the development, testing, and validation of propulsion motors, controllers, and power management systems, working closely with engineers to build, assemble, and modify prototypes and production units. Day-to-day activities include building prototype assemblies, setting up and operating test equipment, recording and analyzing test data, and troubleshooting issues in mechanical and electrical subsystems. The role also involves following test procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting continuous improvement of lab processes, and ensuring that safety and quality standards are consistently met.

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret test results, diagnose performance issues, and support engineering decisions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with engineers, document findings clearly, and report test outcomes and issues.
- Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills to investigate equipment and system faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

- Candidates should possess proficiency with Test Equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems for lab and field testing.
- Relevant qualifications such as a technical diploma, apprenticeship, or degree in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent practical experience) are beneficial.
- Experience in mechanical assembly, motor or power system testing, and working in an R&D or production lab environment is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and creation of test procedures, SOP's with a strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
