The Department of English invites applications for Course Lecturer positions to teach during the Winter 2027 term.

ENGL 204 - English Literature and the Bible (3 credits - CRN 2506)
Salary: $11,824
Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
- Applicants must be ABD or have the Ph.D. in hand.
- Demonstrated research and teaching excellence in the field of English literature and the Bible.
Schedule:
- January 5th to April 14th, 2027
- Tuesday & Thursday from 4:05 p.m.–5:25 p.m.
Course description: This course will examine the literary dimensions of the Bible including structure, style, and meaning as well as its status as Sacred Book. The influence of the Bible-as-metatext on the secular literature of the West will be the focus of the discussion.

ENGL 372 - Stage Scenery and Lighting 2 (3 credits - CRN 7437)
Salary: $11,824
Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
- Graduate from a program specializing in theatre production
- Working experience in technical production, design, and management of theatre and/or live events
- Experience teaching in University settings and on university theatrical productions.
Schedule:
- January 5th to April 14th, 2027
- Tuesday & Thursday from 10:05 a.m.–11:25 a.m.
Course description: Aspects of stage scenery and theatrical lighting.
ENGL 500 - Middle English (CRN 2539 – 3 credits)
Salary: $11,824
Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
- Demonstrated research and teaching excellence in the literature of the Middle English period.
- Applicants must be ABD or have the Ph.D. in hand.
Schedule:
- January 5th to April 14th, 2027
- Tuesday & Thursday from 11:35 a.m.–02:25 p.m.
Course description: A study of works in Middle English.
ENGL 516 - Shakespeare (CRN 2541 – 3 credits)
Salary: $11,824
Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
- Applicants must be ABD or have the PhD in hand.
- Demonstrated research and teaching excellence in the field of Shakespeare studies.
Schedule:

Description du cours: Ce cours examinera les dimensions littéraires de la Bible, notamment sa structure, son style et sa signification, ainsi que son statut de Livre sacré. L’influence de la Bible en tant que métatexte sur la littérature profane de l’Occident constituera le principal objet de la discussion.
