Role Description/Criteria
Applications are invited from passionate and committed EAL teachers to support the learning and settlement of our new and recently arrived students. Our school is a culturally and linguistically rich and diverse Catholic school community. This is an ongoing teaching position, starting in January 2027. The College has grown from five to six streams over the last four years due to increased enrolment demand but continues to be a relatively small secondary school, where each student and staff member is known, valued, and connected. Our staff are well supported through a strong collegial and collaborative staff culture; good systems for Performance Development and Coaching; a well-documented curriculum and teaching resources; clear whole school practices; and individual and whole school professional learning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
