Salary: £33,843–£46,992 per annum
Location: Epsom, Surrey, UK
Hours: Full-time

Overview
Our client, a further and higher education college, is seeking an English Lecturer to teach GCSE English Language and Functional Skills English to students.
An up to £6,000 one-off government retention payment may also be available, subject to terms and conditions.
You will monitor student progress, use target setting and intervention to improve achievement, and contribute to departmental assessment planning and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Teach GCSE English Language to students
- Deliver Functional Skills English to students
- Teach GCSE and Functional Skills English to adult learners, including apprentices.
- Monitor student performance and use target setting, review and intervention to support improvement.
- Use Google Classroom and other educational software confidently.
- Contribute to the department's assessment plan and assessment practice.

Requirements
- Recent relevant experience teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills English to young people.
- A-Level English or an equivalent qualification.
- Recognised teaching qualification at City & Guilds Award in Education and Training level or above.
- Proven track record of strong student achievement.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Confidence using Google Classroom and other educational software.
