Role Description
The English Second Language Teacher will deliver engaging, learner-centered English language lessons to individuals and groups at an on-site location in the West Midlands. This contract role involves:

- Planning and delivering lessons that address diverse language levels
- Supporting learners in improving speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Preparing learners for exams such as IELTS where relevant

The teacher will:
- Assess learner progress
- Provide constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching methods to meet different learning styles and needs
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Creating lesson materials
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance and progress
- Collaborating with colleagues to improve teaching practices
- Fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment aligned with Humanise Solutions’ values
Qualifications
- Strong English Teaching and Teaching English as a Foreign Language skills, with the ability to support learners from varied linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
- Competence in Lesson Planning and curriculum development to design structured, engaging, and measurable learning experiences.
- Experience with IELTS preparation and exam-focused instruction to help learners achieve targeted language proficiency outcomes.
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) and, ideally, a degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, learner-centered classroom environments and adapt teaching methods to different learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to empathy, cultural sensitivity, and professional integrity.
- Experience teaching in community, academic, or vocational settings is beneficial, particularly within diverse or underserved communities.
