Are you an English Teacher who can engage post:16 students and help them make measurable progress? Reeson Education is recruiting an English Teacher for a sixth form college in Gosport, Hampshire.
This opportunity would suit an English Teacher with strong subject knowledge, a clear approach to assessment and the ability to adapt lessons for students with different starting points.
The Role
- Position: English Teacher
- Pay: GBP140:GBP220 per day, depending on experience and assignment
- Location: Gosport, Hampshire
- Setting: Sixth form college
- Start date: ASAP
As an English Teacher, you'll teach assigned courses, prepare students for assessments and help them progress to further study or work.
Key Responsibilities For An English Teacher
- Plan engaging, appropriately challenging lessons and adapt teaching to individual needs.
- Prepare schemes of learning and support students through internal and external assessments.
- Use assessment and targeted interventions to improve student progress.
- Maintain accurate attendance and achievement records.
- Work effectively with learning support staff, colleagues and parents or guardians.

- A degree and postgraduate teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the post:16 English curriculum.
