Flexible English and General Supply Teacher: Plymouth (September 2026)
Are you a qualified educator seeking a balanced approach to your teaching career? We are currently seeking professional English and General Cover Teachers to join our network of secondary schools in Plymouth and surrounding areas, starting in September 2026. This role is ideal for those who value flexibility and professional autonomy, as it requires zero planning, zero marking, and no preparation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, pre-planned Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English lessons.
- Provide general cover across various subjects using comprehensive work sets provided by permanent staff.
- Maintain a professional classroom environment and manage student behaviour effectively.
- Foster an engaging and supportive atmosphere conducive to learning for all students.

Qualifications
- Must possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent (Early Career Teachers are encouraged).
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to new environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the English secondary curriculum.
- Valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
