Choose Your Pathway

  • Day:to:Day Supply Cover (GBP120 : GBP140 per day): Maximum flexibility with zero take:home workload. All lesson plans are provided in advance. Your role is to deliver the content, maintain strong classroom dynamics, and mark the sessions work. Perfect for teachers wanting classroom time without prep commitments.
  • Long:Term and Contract Roles (GBP150 : GBP220 per day): Dedicated positions for teachers seeking continuity. These full:scale roles include scheme:of:work planning, ongoing assessment, and departmental involvement, rewarded with a higher daily rate reflecting your specialist commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach high:impact English Language and Literature lessons tailored to diverse learning styles.
  • Track student progress, providing clear, actionable feedback to drive GCSE attainment.
  • Maintain a structured, focused, and positive classroom environment using proactive behavior strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the English department, SENCOs, and school leadership on curriculum goals.
  • Engage fully with the school ethos while promoting high standards of literacy across all year groups.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) alongside a degree in English or a related subject.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE level).
  • Strong adaptability to seamlessly step into existing schemes of work.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident classroom presence.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to process one).
