  • Flexi-Supply Cover (GBP120 : GBP140 per day): Ideal for teachers who love being in front of the class without the take-home stress. All planning and resources are set for you: simply deliver the content, manage the classroom effectively, and complete the marking before you head home.
  • Full-Scale Long-Term Roles (GBP150 : GBP220 per day): Perfect for teachers wanting a permanent-style placement. These roles involve full curriculum planning, progress tracking, and parent consultations, paid at a higher daily rate to reflect your specialist commitment to the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver energetic English Language and Literature lessons that challenge and support pupils of all abilities.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations through targeted critical analysis and exam technique practice.
  • Establish positive classroom management strategies that encourage active participation and focus.
  • Work alongside the school's creative arts and humanities teams to foster a school-wide love for reading.
  • Track individual student milestones and provide constructive feedback to boost confidence and attainment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English (or equivalent discipline).
  • Proven track record teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
  • Outstanding communication skills with an adaptable, positive teaching style.
  • Resilience and confidence to manage diverse classroom dynamics effectively.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for one).
