Requirements
- QTS or QTLS status (ECTs/NQTs and experienced practitioners are encouraged).
- Degree in English Language, English Literature, or a related subject area.
- Demonstrated experience delivering the UK Secondary English Curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to process one).

Key Duties
- Teaching and Learning: Design and execute high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Student Progression: Evaluate student work, mark assignments systematically, and provide feedback to drive academic achievement.
- Classroom Environment: Establish clear expectations to promote active participation and high standards of behaviour.
- Exam Readiness: Equip students with core analytical skills and exam techniques for upcoming GCSE assessments.
- Teamwork: Work closely with secondary English departments to align with school schemes of work and literacy initiatives.
