Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons that support and challenge all learners.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress with constructive feedback aligned to school standards.
  • Cultivate a dynamic classroom environment while maintaining strong, positive behavior management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on lesson handovers, shared resources, and student progress updates.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community while adhering to all school policies.

Requirements

  • Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English.
  • Proven experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
  • Ability to quickly adapt to existing schemes of work and build rapport with students.
  • An inspiring classroom presence with excellent behavioral management skills.
  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for one).
