Do you want to work in a very friendly, happy school in London? Southbank International School is London's leading IB world school. With over 70 nationalities, our campus educates over 400 children from the ages of 11-18. We have a wonderful culture of support and collaboration and lovely students from all around the world. Job Role: English Teacher (with Head of Department possibility)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time, January 2027 with possible earlier start
Location: Westminster Campus
Salary Range: £50,512 – £74,661 per annum (depending on experience)
We seek a vibrant, well-qualified, and committed teacher of English to deliver lessons across both the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme to students aged 11-18.
Experience of IB MYP and DP programmes is desirable but not essential. Of prime importance is a love of teaching; you need to be energetic, focused and reliable in the classroom, and to foster passion and dedication in students. With a liberal ethos, an emphasis on academic rigour and a commitment to the values of the IB, Southbank offers the opportunity to further extend your teaching and learning skills in a friendly, supportive but hard-working team.
Suitably qualified and experienced applicants will also be considered for the role of Head of Department which comes with an additional annual payment. Interested applicants should clearly indicate if they are interested in this middle leadership role. We expect all staff to have high aspirations and expectations of themselves and our students. For the successful candidate, you will have an opportunity to join our friendly and enthusiastic school team and in return we offer a high quality professional development programme which is personalised to individual needs.

Who We Are Looking For
The ability to teach English to an advanced level, up to IB Higher Level (or equivalent) and previous experience of IB programmes would be an advantage; however, above all, we are looking for a teacher with a genuine passion for English and the knowledge, enthusiasm, creativity and energy to inspire that same passion in their students.
