English to German (Switzerland) Review Lead for UI, Marketing & Product Content
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an English to German (Switzerland) Review Lead for UI, Marketing & Product Content based in United Kingdom.
Take ownership of linguistic quality for a major global technology client, ensuring consistent, accurate, and culturally appropriate content across digital products and customer communications. As the English-to-Swiss-German Review Lead, you will establish a shared understanding of quality standards and act as the primary linguistic point of contact for client discussions, escalations, and arbitration. You will work across UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support content, translating client expectations into practical guidance for reviewers and editors. Through coaching, quality analysis, and structured reporting, you will strengthen localization performance and drive continuous improvement. This fully remote freelance opportunity offers approximately 24 hours of work per month, with collaboration across international language teams. You will play a key role in maintaining quality governance and building a long-term partnership around high-visibility technology products.
Accountabilities:
- Analyze style guides, glossaries, and client quality updates to identify changes, assess their impact across content types, and document revised expectations.
- Monitor client feedback, corrections, calibration discussions, and quality meetings to identify implicit expectations and ensure the language team follows the same standards.
- Serve as the primary linguistic contact for the client's Language Manager, managing quality discussions, clarifications, escalations, and formal arbitration processes.
- Organize regular alignment roundtables with the language community to improve consistency and reinforce shared quality standards.
- Prepare structured monthly quality reports covering performance, key improvement priorities, style guide updates, recurring errors, and arbitration outcomes.
- Coach reviewers individually using concrete examples, facilitate shadowing sessions, and deliver targeted training based on actual quality and alignment data.
- Analyze error patterns, severity trends, quality scores, and recurring reviewer justifications to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop evidence-based proposals for style guide updates and share relevant cross-locale quality insights with quality management teams.
- Maintain the integrity of arbitration records, ensuring that every issue escalated to the client is valid, clearly documented, and supported by evidence.
- Take ownership of the locale's review service performance, including RQE audit results and alignment metrics.
- Build and maintain a productive working relationship with the client's Language Manager, ensuring expectations are tracked and potential disagreements are addressed constructively.
- Promote continuous improvement across localization quality assurance, review processes, and linguistic governance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
