English to Slovenian Review Lead for UI, Marketing & Product Content
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an English to Slovenian Review Lead for UI, Marketing & Product Content based in United Kingdom.
This remote freelance opportunity is designed for an experienced localization quality professional who can lead linguistic standards for high-visibility global technology products. You will serve as the primary linguistic quality owner for Slovenian content, ensuring consistent interpretation of client expectations across user interfaces, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support materials. Working closely with reviewers, post-editors, and client stakeholders, you will translate quality standards into practical guidance, coaching, and measurable improvements. You will oversee quality audits, facilitate alignment discussions, and manage escalations with evidence-based recommendations. With approximately 24 hours of work per month, this role offers a long-term collaboration with international teams, supported by established linguistic resources, onboarding, and ongoing training.
Accountabilities:
- Analyze style guides, glossaries, and client quality updates to determine their impact on content categories, quality criteria, and review expectations.
- Track client feedback, corrections, calibration discussions, and alignment decisions to identify implicit expectations and ensure consistent application across the Slovenian locale.
- Serve as the primary linguistic point of contact for the client's Language Manager on quality discussions, clarifications, arbitration, and escalations.
- Organize regular alignment roundtables with the language community to strengthen shared understanding of quality standards and resolve recurring linguistic issues.
- Prepare structured monthly quality reports covering performance, priority improvement areas, style guide updates, notable errors, and arbitration outcomes.
- Coach reviewers individually using specific examples, conduct shadowing sessions, and deliver targeted training based on real alignment data.
- Monitor the locale's review service performance, including RQE audit results and alignment scores, and implement initiatives to improve quality.
- Maintain an accurate, well-documented arbitration record, ensuring that every issue escalated to the client is valid, evidence-based, and clearly justified.
- Analyze error concentrations, severity trends, and recurring justification patterns to identify systemic quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Propose evidence-based style guide enhancements that address recurring challenges and clarify expectations across different content types.
- Share cross-locale quality insights and improvement opportunities with the broader quality management team.
- Build and maintain a productive working relationship with client stakeholders, raising concerns through appropriate channels and minimizing unexpected quality discrepancies.
- Ensure that the language community consistently applies the client's decisions while balancing linguistic accuracy, content purpose, and category-specific requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
